One of the places that I’ve been dreaming of visiting in for years is Møns Klint. After nearly a year of being in Denmark, Stephen and I decided to hire a car and take a day trip there. It was well worth the wait.
This idyllic setting is on the island Møn, part of the Zealand region of Denmark. It took roughly 1 hr 45 mins to drive from Copenhagen to the southern coast of Møn. These are the highest cliffs in the country and have stunning views over the Baltic Sea.
We parked up at the GeoCentre which is located at the top of the cliffs. ( Møns Klint is a UNESCO world heritage site and there’s lots of information about the island, forests, fossils, cliffs and rocks at the GeoCentre.) From there we took a walk in the forest then down roughly 500 steps to the shore line. It’s quite a workout!
Of course I HAD to have a swim in the crystal clear Baltic sea. With this view it was pretty special.
Nearly a further 500 steps climbing up the cliff and to back to the car. I was pretty purple, exhausted and happy.
It was great to explore Møns Klint and I will be back to discover more of the island.

Hi Hannah, The pictures are crystal clear and the white cliff looks really beautiful. So good to hear you swam in the sea. Wow, I am a bit jealous of you now, haha! Beautiful view. Thank you so much for sharing the experience with us, Hannah!
Denmark is such a gorgeous place. I’d love to go there and visit!
