Dinner parties, celebrations and seasonal festivities pretty much all focus around eating and drinking. So when it’s time to crack open the champagne, it’s nice to do it in style. Though I’m not one for opulence and bling, it’s all rather crude, I do still like to make an occasion look and feel special. I was so happy to discover that Patricia Urquiola has designed an award winning range for Georg Jensen. The range named URKIOLA looks 1930’s inspired with mirror polished surfaces, ribbed steel and stylishly simple forms. The large vase from the URIKOLA range works perfectly as a champagne bucket.
It is quite fancy, unlike me, but by mixing with with my HAY raw wood serving board and Iittala champagne glasses it comfortably blends in with my minimalist surroundings. I’m very excited to celebrate in style now!
