This year Hannah in the House was nominated and shortlisted for the Amara Interior Blog Awards 2014! I was and still am so honoured to be put in the category ‘Best Designed Blog Award’ among these incredible blogs, Home Girl London , Lobster & Swan , Torie Jayne and Design Lovers blog. The award ceremony was hosted at the stunning Rosewood Hotel London  on Wednesday 5th November 2014. This was my first proper night out since my brain surgery so I brought the boyfriend for moral support and made it into date night too! We had such a great time, the venue was just incredible, the staff made sure that the Prosecco was flowing who could say no to that right?!

It was quite strange feeling being in a room full of bloggers that I haven’t met before but knew of online.  Having not really socialised all year it took me quite sometime before I could walk up and say hi to some people, but the bubbles sorted those nerves out for me, ha!

The awards were presented by Vanessa Brady, president of the SBID. When it came to Vanessa reading out my category I felt sick, I wasn’t expecting anything but my nerves shook when my blog name was read out in the list of shortlister’s to a room full of well established creatives and writers. My blog didn’t win but I’m so thankful to have made it this far, thanks to everyone who helped vote for me, it really does mean a lot.  The winner of my category was the incredible Lobster and Swan, I’m a big fan of this blog and totally cheer on this win!
